This set of projects involves the analysis of literary and written work. In each project, I sought to give audiences a nuanced and complex understanding of my focal texts, while at the same time making the projects engaging, and simple enough to be accessible.

Examining Misogyny in “The Mutabilitie Cantos“
A public-facing learning module
In this project, I present the scholarly conversation surrounding misogyny in the Edward Spenser’s “Mutabilitie Cantos” through a more accessible lens. I created a series of watercolor paintings and embedded links within each painting relevant to my overall explanatory goal. The project is publicly visible and posted on East Carolina University’s “Centering Spenser” website.
A Deep Dive into the Lyrical Universe of Beck’s “Farewell Ride“
An original textual edition
Farewell Ride is a song by popular alternative pop and rock musician Beck Hansen. I created a physical edition of various versions of the song’s lyrics along with other Blues songs, and compared lyrics and lyrical evolution across the various tunes. The edition is also photographed and hosted digitally on a wordpress site, along with other work I completed for the class ENGL 285 at Carleton College.
